In 2021, Bäckerei Schäfer expanded its production capabilities with the construction of a new bakery facility in Chemnitz. The building covers approximately 61 by 49 meters, with an additional frozen storage section measuring around 24 by 17 meters.
Our role in the project included structural design services during work phases 4 and 5 (LP4/5) as well as the creation of a coordinated BIM model. The digital model was developed to support accurate execution planning and ensure coordination across all disciplines involved in the construction.
The total gross floor area of the facility is about 5,200 square meters. The project was planned with a clear focus on functionality, spatial efficiency, and long-term usability.
