In the town of Gronau, nestled in the district of Borken, stands a historically protected office building—an architectural landmark that bridges past and future. This multi-story structure, consisting of a basement and four upper floors, required precise documentation as the foundation for an upcoming fire safety renovation.
In 2021, our team was commissioned to support this critical restoration effort by delivering a complete digital capture of the building. We conducted detailed on-site measurements, followed by the creation of accurate 2D floor plans and a comprehensive 3D model. These outputs were essential for planning and implementing the required fire protection upgrades in line with modern standards—without compromising the integrity of the historical architecture.
Spanning approximately 10,000 square meters of usable space, the project exemplifies how heritage buildings can be preserved and upgraded through digital innovation and careful planning.
