Siemens Campus

New construction of the new Siemens Campus in Erlangen (Module 1). On a site area of approx. 54 hectares, the modern campus will be realized in a total of 7 modules.
Project Description

On the Erlangen Süd site of Siemens AG, the new Siemens Campus is being built on approx. 54 hectares in a total of 7 modules. For this purpose, the existing buildings, including the cellars and foundations, will be demolished.

As part of Module 1, 8 service and research facility buildings and 3 multi-storey car parks were built. The buildings, which have partial basements, each consist of a ground floor and 5-6 upper floors. As part of the project, a total of approx. 90,000 m² of gross floor area (GFA) was processed.

As an engineering office for structural engineering, gbc engineers is responsible for the work phases LP4-5. This includes the static calculation as well as thepreparation of the formwork and reinforcement plans.

Building M115 is a new building that is to be used mainly as an office building. The new building has a single-storey partial basement, five above-ground floors and two recessed technical centres on the roof.

The technical centres are manufactured as a light steel structure with trapezoidal sheet metal cladding on the sides and open at the top. All other components (ceilings, columns, walls, etc.) are manufactured in solid construction. The floor slabs are designed as point-supported reinforced concrete flat slabs with two rows of internal columns. In the area of the outer walls, a linear support is made on prefabricated elements.

The bracing of the building is carried out via selected in-situ concrete walls. All other walls are made of prefabricated elements and are used exclusively for vertical load dissipation.

The foundation is carried out using single and strip foundations. The basement areas will be founded on an elastically bedded floor slab with local reinforcements.
